According to the call of the Coordination Council of Iranian Education Workers’ Unions, on November 11, 2021, retired and employed educators held a protest rally in different cities with the main demand of ranking, equalizing of retiring salaries based on the Civil Service Management Law.
According to the news sent to the Coordination Council, the rally has been held in 22 provinces so far. Employees in Lorestan province in Boroujerd, Doroud, Aligudarz, Kuhdasht, Poldakhtar and Khorramabad cities in Kurdistan province in Saqez, Marivan and Sanandaj cities, Divandarreh in Khuzestan province in Dezful, Izeh, Andimeshk, Bandar Mahshahr and Ahvaz cities in Gilan province And Bandar Anzali in Fars province in Shiraz, Noorabad and Mamasani cities, Darab in Isfahan province in Isfahan and Shahreza cities, Mazandaran province in Amol and Neka cities, Sari and Babol in Hamedan province in Hamedan and Malayer cities, in Bushehr province in Bushehr cities and Genaveh was held in Kermanshah province in the cities of Kermanshah and Songhor in North Khorasan province in the cities of Bojnourd and Shirvan. The gathering was also welcomed by teachers in the cities of Zarrin Dasht (Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari), Qom, Ilam, Tabriz, Yasuj, Arak, Yazd, Zanjan and Bukan (West Azerbaijan), Qazvin. The educational staff of Tehran and Alborz provinces also gathered in front of the parliament today amid strict military and security measures and marched to the end of the parliament route to Baharestan Square.
It should be noted that some trade union activists were pressured by the security forces to suspend today’s rally last week, but they resisted by insisting on the rightfulness, legality of the demands, and insisted on the fulfillment of the demands.
As in the past, the Coordinating Council stands with the teachers and thanks the teachers who responded positively to the call, and to other dear educators who for any reason could not participate in today’s gathering, the Coordinating Council calls to join the associations of educators and participate in programs and calls.
